Access your PalmHost hosting panel
Your PalmHost hosting panel is where you manage the technical parts of your hosting service, including your website, email, databases, files, backups and DNS settings.
Access the hosting panel from your Client Area
- Log in to your PalmHost Client Area.
- Select Services from the Client Area menu.
- Open the hosting service you want to manage.
- Select Manage Service.
- Choose Login to Control Panel.
This takes you to the PalmHost hosting panel associated with your hosting service.
Access the panel directly
You can also access the PalmHost hosting panel directly at:
https://panel.palmhost.co.za:8443/
When accessing the panel directly, use the hosting-panel login details provided for your account.
What you can manage
The options available in the hosting panel depend on your hosting service and account permissions. The main areas can include:
- Websites — manage websites hosted on your account and access website management options.
- WordPress — access WordPress management and installation tools where available.
- Email — manage email services and mailboxes associated with your hosting account.
- Databases & FTP — manage databases and FTP-related settings.
- Backups — access the backup features available for your account.
- Users & Plans — view account and hosting-plan related options available to your user.
Manage DNS for a website
DNS management is available from the website management area rather than as a separate item in the main panel menu.
- Open Websites in the hosting panel.
- Find the website you want to manage.
- Select Manage.
- Open DNS.
From there you can manage the DNS records available for that website.
DNS changes can take time to appear across the internet. The time required can vary depending on the record and the caching of DNS resolvers.
Use the Client Area when you need service information
The hosting panel and PalmHost Client Area serve different purposes. Use the Client Area for account, service, order, invoice and support matters. Use the hosting panel for managing the technical aspects of your hosting service.
If you cannot access the hosting panel
If the Login to Control Panel option is unavailable, first check that you are opening the correct hosting service under Services.
If you still cannot access the panel, contact PalmHost through Support in your Client Area and provide the affected domain or service name together with any error message you receive.
